Before the glass is measured
Complete the finished surfaces
Final glass measurements should be taken after tile, stone, curbs, benches, and other finished surfaces are complete. Custom glass is fabricated to the actual opening, including conditions that are not perfectly plumb or level.
Think through the door swing
The entrance should work with nearby vanities, toilets, towel bars, and walking paths. The layout must also provide practical access while keeping the enclosure visually balanced.
Choose hardware as part of the design
Hardware finish, handle style, hinges, U-channel, and clamps affect both appearance and function. Selecting these details early helps the enclosure complement plumbing fixtures and the surrounding room.
Plan for water management
Curbs, floors, benches, and showerheads should direct water toward the drain and away from the opening. Frameless glass reduces visual obstruction, but it is not intended to correct an underlying drainage or waterproofing problem.
